Introduction to Case Management

The course is designed to acquaint participants with the implementation of soft intervention models, crisis management, and case management techniques. It encompasses a collaborative process and ensures a comprehensive grasp of evaluation, assessment, treatment planning, and care coordination. Case management plays a crucial role in steering individuals from the beginning of treatment to aftercare recovery programs and frequently continues thereafter.

Case Management Highlights:

  • This training will introduce participants to facilitating soft interventions models, crisis management and case management.
  • Participants will learn the structure of case management.
  • Participants will learn how to create case management treatment plans and pre and post treatment support for families and/or their loved ones.
  • Participants will learn how to assess individuals and families, provide resources and facilitate coaching services.

Learning Objectives

The training covers essential intervention approaches, equipping participants with the skills to perform brief interventions and effectively manage cases. Participants will learn to define case management, identify its key stages, and apply crisis management techniques. They will gain hands-on experience in conducting case management intake and assessments, as well as creating individualized treatment plans. 

Case Management Goals

The 14-hour training program is designed to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of intervention models and the ability to perform soft interventions. Through this training, participants will gain insight into addiction and its impact on individuals and families while developing essential skills to assess situations effectively.
